Hi, thank you. There are four major routes that lead to axillary malodor, more information on this here. The steroid based malodor, which forms one of the four known pathways, is recently believed to be not that important anymore. I quote Dr James: "the contribution of these steroids to axillary malodour is probably much less than previously believed". I also follow Dr James in this thinking. I personally believe other pathways are way more important on axillary malodor generation. Best, Chris
