physically removing apocrine glands

Q&ACategory: Questionsphysically removing apocrine glands
in my opinion the only solution is to remove the apocrine sweat glands by surgery. i watched the video and they cut the armpit skin and cut off all of the apocrine sweat glands. it was so satisfying to watch for me since those glabds are the cause of all the suffering for me. a doctor destroys apocrine glands with a scissor and removes them from the skin until there is no more. no apocrine glands no more problem. its only done in asian countries, which makes me wonder are they playing with me? why cant i have that surgery and others who have this, only asian folks? asian folks can have this surgery and get cured while me and others should have this forever? thats bullsh....

Hi, they do such a procedure also in Western countries. There are 1/ botox injections to temporarily stop the (apocrine) sweating; 2/ sympathectomy, where a surgeon cuts or clamps the nerves and thus prevents nerve signals from passing through; 3/ axillary liposuction, where a surgeon permanently removes or disrupts the eccrine and apocrine sweat glands in the underarms; 4/ laser- or microwave-based ablation of sweat glands, that also permanently destroys the underarm sweat glands (basically melts everything in there together). You can google those procedures + the region where you live - I am sure there is a hospital that does that near you. About the Asian countries: could it have been done in Japan? It is very rare in Japan (or East Asia) to have bromhidrosis. Japan is the only country in the world that recognize bromhidrosis as pathology, and the insurance pays back most of the costs associated with the treatment. Mainly because it is so rare in Japan. It is a *huge* stigma in Japan if you have bromhidrosis.  Best, Chris
