Hi Tom, benzoyl peroxide is a very effective antibacterial ingredient. Commonly used to treat acne on the face. But it can equally kill bacteria in the underarms. That being said, I would not recommend it in the long term. It will lead to resistance build up, which can eventually make the odor worse. Cause in the end, there will be bacteria growing in the underarms. Best, Chris
