Nylon fabric seems to promote less BO than polyester fabric in shirts and briefs. At least in my experience. Do you have any biological explanation for this?

Hey, I have done some in vitro experiments on nylon and saw a specific bacterial growth with nylon, much different than the initial bacterial inoculum. Nylon can certainly promote specific bacteria to grow. One of them is Propionibacterium, which can give a sour odor on feet, for example. On the other hand, Propionibacterium was recently linked with good odor scores on the skin. The complete investigation on nylon & body odor has not been done before, but maybe the bacteria supported by nylon are not the typical malodor-causing bacteria? I'm just guessing. For polyester it is known that typical malodor-causing bacteria are supported. Best, Chris
