Nullo or iodine

Years ago I tried Nullo and it worked.  How does it work and is it safe?  It contains a copper complex though and I was nervous about long term use.

Is iodine tincture safe to regularly use on your arm pits?  That sometimes helps.  Are there studies about what that does to the armpit biome?
