Ever since I got this disease every single thing I've put on my armpits have made the smell 10x worse. When I first became aware of this issue, I, like any other person would, turned turned to various deodorants and antiperspirants, but all of them exacerbated the odor. Even odorless powders like baking soda and zinc oxide have made my situation worse which I can't explain why. But in terms of deodorants, In my opinion the perfumes in those products mixed with the BO and produced an even stronger smell. Ever since that day I avoided putting anything on my underarms because not only they were not helping they were making the situation worse. Now with the probiotic deodorant that you've created I've seen clear improvements with the odor, but it took a long time of daily use (about 2 months), since I had this for 8 years and the bad bacteria were probably deeply ingrained inside the skin. So I'd say the probiotic deodorant does help in modifying the skin microbiome although it may take months to do so. However one issue that is overlooked is that while using the probiotic deodorant daily, the bad smell is still constantly secreted from the underarm since it takes time for the microbiome to change for the better and with the perfume that's present in those deodorants. it is getting mixed up with the BO smell and in my case, creating a more stronger odor as I've discussed above. So eventually you might encounter a situation where your microbiome is "fixed", where it's no longer producing any bad smells,, but the stronger odor that was created by mixing deodorant compounds and BO is still getting built up in the armpit skin and it doesn't go away after taking a shower. I've found that shaving the armpits gets rid of those odorous compounds that are stuck on the skin and on armpit hairs, as such you completely get rid of every source of this problem.
