Hi Chris. Just wanted to say a big thanks for giving your time to this issue. Means so much to so many of us. Anyway in your presentation you mention that regular people will smell bad if they don't shower for a week. Has bad bacteria proliferated on their skin in that case? Is this different to what us afflicted people have? Just something I was curious about..

Hey Adrian, thank you :-) Well, it's my job, and I like my job :-) A regular armpit on average contains 100 different OTU's (different bacterial strains, species). It is generally the staphylococci and corynebacteria which are present in high amounts though. That means that a person without body odor also has a very low amount of malodorous bacteria. Meaning that if he will not wash himself, some (mal)odors will emanate as well. That was what I meant with the statement. Best, Chris
