If you have smelly armpits, should you continue to use antiperspirant even though it doesn't help? Or should you stop and instead use something else? What would you recommend?

Dear, research showed that aluminium salts can only block the eccrine sweat glands, thus, reducing the production of water and salts on the skin. Antiperspirants can consequently be very helpful against excessive sweating and hyperhydrosis. Aluminium salts do not block the hair follicle or the apocrine sweat glands. The malodor generation originates from there. Based on this and our research, we cannot recommend antiperspirants when suffering from malodor. Try a regular deodorant instead.
