What is you opinion about using baking soda as a deodorant? Some suggest using it pure and others suggest mixing it with coconut oil and cornstarch.

Hey, baking soda, or sodium hydrogen carbonate, is a mild disinfectant and can also absorb malodors. It also reacts with acids, releasing CO2 as reaction product. Most of the malodors are (short- and midchain carbon) acids, and as such, NaHCO3 can be effective. I have not done research on this though, so I cannot tell the effect on the axillary microbiome.
