Is there something special I can wash my armpits in? After getting out of the shower or a bath my armpits still smell slightly, Even if I double wash.

I am 20 years old, a healthy eater an excerciser. I have never had a real issue with body odor and I have always worn deodorant. In the last couple weeks I have noticed my armpits smell really bad. Not the sour body odor when you sweat or don't wear deodorant, but a thick old powdery smell. I started putting on deodorant more frequently, but now it happens after only 10 minutes of wearing any kind of deodorant I've tried. I actually smell better not wearing it but if I sweat even a little I have regular body odor so that's not an option either. It's all of a sudden and it's killing me that I smell bad wearing deodorant.

Hello I am a 17 year old male and I have recently had armpit issues. Before this school year, I have never had really any armpit problems. I guess it all started at the beginning of the school year. In the mornings I have team sports (basically basketball) well I started to notice that my armpits got really sweaty even when I wasn't even in class yet. I would just be standing around waiting for us to start and my armpits started to sweat. Sooner or later my armpits kind of started to somewhat sour I guess because of the constant moisture or something? No matter how much I put on "antiperspirant" deodorant, the smell and sweat seemed to just eat right through it. It didn't really matter what kind of deodorant I put on. Eventually, the sweating slowed down and the sour smell kind of went away but then it really started to smell bad. It was a really strong stinky odor at some times like onions or something. It's still persistent now and I would really really really like your help on this issue of mine please! Thank you for your time, GmanR

Hello. Im a body odor sufferer. Ive been reading about you and so happy that you are looking into an issue that affects all humans! But your research looks into the bacteria on the outside of the skin correct? But the smelly bacteria originates from the glands inside the armpit? so any external remedy would only be temporary right? since the main problem comes from the inside, maybe you should look at gland remedies as well. Just hoping to add some my opinion. Nothing i have put externally has ever fixed my armpit odor. Thanks

As a person who has bad body odor, if you can cure my problem I will pay every penny i have! I dont want to keep using deoderants and other creams to mask the problem, I want an end all solution to the armpit odor i have so i don't have to worry about creams every again! and if you can do that, I and every other person around this world will pay you whatever you want to have the procedure done. Keep working hard! if you can find the cure, you will find yourself to be a very rich man one day! Thanks!

Hi, my name is Laura and I am from Brazil, so excuse my english. I have been suffering with bromhidrosys for almost 8 years. It started after high school. I remember a guy from my class in high school that used to have really bad body odor and he was taking accutane (the strong medicine for acne). I was also taking accutane and six months after the acne treatment I started having bromhidrosys. I remember thinking really bad things about the boy. I thought he didn't shower, I had kind of a mean attitude toward him, I didn't know that B.O. was a condition and not the lack of hygiene. Who knew that six months later I would have the same problem. That was carma :( I tried all deodorants and antiperspirants on the market, I did botox, I had laser to remove the hair and diminish bacteria, I had some of my glands burned by a old hair removal method, I even used a crazy machine that would diminish the eccrine sweat (my dad insisted, but I knew that the eccrine sweat was not the real cause of the problem, actually the sweat of eccrine glands on my armpits was less intense than a normal person). Plus, I already had 4 surgeries: 2 superficial "liposuctions" and 2 apocrine glands removal (each procedure by a different doctor). The apocrine glands removal was the most successful procedure, but the most invasive. I was thinking about taking a little piece of skin so I wont' produce apocrine sweat anymore, because I've noticed that some glands regenerate and some start working harder to compensate the removal. I just recovered from the last gland removal and I still have bad odor. I was a little mad because I wanted to remove a part of the skin too, but the doctor thought that it would not be necessary. This problem is delaying my life in all areas, I am 25 years old and I failed a lot of subjects in college because I would skip a lot of classes because I felt really bad about the problem. I graduated last year and I wont start to work in a office until I get this problem solved. I know I won't work properly if I have this problem. Please help me! The worst thing about this problem is that nobody really understands me or the condition. I am glad that you are studying it. Even if you don't have a solution, just hearing from you would be great. I have stopped from using commercial deo for about a year and noticed that after using it again it worked just like the first day. I also noticed that commercial deo makes my armpit odor really bad. i dont smell bad when im not using commercial deo but i still use it to make sure i wont stink in public. should i throw my deo now and stop unilisver from bacoming richer...
