Thank you so much for your research. Why can't you just simply swab a persons armpit, grow those bacteria, then selectively allow only the good bacteria to grow, and transplant those back onto the persons armpit? This way, it's only the persons bacteria and not their sister/mother/brother.

Hi! Very interesting suggestion. I have certainly thought about it. The main problem is that, when you selectively grow these bacteria, their physiological state and metabolism will be completely adjusted to the sugar-rich solution were you grew them in. They will have troubles adapting to the 'harsh', rather dry and fatty acid environment of the underarm. But there are ways to get around of that as well. So I will further explore this option.
